## Taming Your Clones
Cloning is an interesting and sometimes frustrating tool that has been improved dramatically in recent years, but still has its limitations.
Cloning has two different uses. You can create multiple images that are like the image you’re using as a reference. For example, you can take an image of a baby and create multiple images of that baby. You can also clone an image to create a “sister image,” which is a copy of the original image, with the same color corrections and other tweaks as the original, but with a different path so that you can put the two images next to each other.
We hope you’ll never have to clone one of your pictures, but if you do, it’s important to know how to do it right. This section explains how to clone accurately from one picture to another using the Clone Stamp tool.

The only supported file formats for Photoshop Elements are JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, CMYK, PSD and PSB.
Photoshop Elements is cross platform, both Mac and Windows, and comes in two versions: Photoshop Elements 14 and Photoshop Elements 15.
Adobe Photoshop Elements (Windows)
Adobe Photoshop Elements (Mac)
A few things to note about Photoshop Elements
Adobe Photoshop Elements is officially supported on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and macOS Sierra only.
Adobe Photoshop Elements cannot import files created with Photoshop Elements 11, Photoshop Elements 12 or Photoshop Elements 13.
Adobe Photoshop Elements for Mac comes with Apple’s own Preview.

Adobe Photoshop Elements is not as powerful as Adobe Photoshop.
The Elements is targeted at photographers, designers and amateur graphic enthusiasts
You won’t find “Lasso”, “Blur”, “Levels” and all of the other standard Photoshop tools here. If you need a background-removal tool, crop, layer, or blending options, then Photoshop Elements is not for you. But even if you do, it’s not as powerful as Photoshop either.
The majority of features in Photoshop Elements are very basic, and images that come out of it are typically not at the same quality of Adobe Photoshop. Most web pages that use images from Elements or Photoshop Express lack the quality and resolution of the same images created in Adobe Photoshop.
Most people use Photoshop Elements as a photo editor. A few graphic designers and web designers use it, too.
Another consideration is that since Photoshop Elements is a standalone application, you can create custom workspaces. There are pre-made themes for Mac and Windows, but you can make your own. You can easily add custom menus and toolbars. You can also sync your files between different computers. This will be important in many of the guides that we will create in this article.
In that sense, Elements is like a scaled-down version of Photoshop with no plugins. Photoshop’s plugin architecture is perhaps the best tool for graphic designers and web designers. As many developers such as WordPress and Google Chrome have discovered, plugins are extremely useful in adding features to WordPress or Chrome.

We are in the process of creating a new toolchain that does not require
the arcane run-time of a local server environment. In the meantime,
please let us know of any problems you have encountered in working with
the FVTF component generator.
To work with the generator, first navigate to the directory
‘../fvt_generator/tools/fvtf_component_generator.py’ or use
Select tools under the ‘Tools’ node and press the ‘go’ button.
The first tool is used to create the rest of the tools. From the
bottom menu, select the tools you need to work with.
You need to have ‘run’ permission to be able to run the generate
command. If not, you can set permission for the current directory with
the command ‘chmod 700 ~/devel/fvt_generator’
Your document should look like the screen shot below when you are
finished. Note that the ‘View’ menu is not functional (you can’t
create a new camera and view, for example). The scene is saved to
your current working directory unless specified otherwise in the
The FVTF component generator is best used to create a simple scene.
However, if you have a fairly large project, you may want to ‘extend’
your model with multiple components and have multiple components
interact with one another. This may be much more efficient than
starting with a very large scene and working backwards. A typical
‘extend’ process starts with having only one component. The
component is loaded into the scene, and then the scene is extended by
copying the component and ‘tweaking’ it to look at only a subset of
the original component.
This final process can be used for any component, as long as the
component has any components that are used outside of the scene.
Once the extended scene is done, save it to disk.
There are two ways to work with the generated scene (standalone or
packaged). Both start with the ‘go’ button.
Select’standalone’ under the ‘Go’ menu. If you want the scene to
remain in your working directory, replace your working directory with
that of the scene.
If you want to save the scene to a file, press ‘b. File’ in the

Barry Silbert’s Digital Currency Group Makes Big Moves
By By Jared Tepperman
Oct 10, 2013
Barry Silbert’s Digital Currency Group has a variety of holdings, but the one that got people’s attention in late July was the DGC’s 5 percent stake in Circle Internet Financial, which helps small retailers accept bitcoin as a method of payment and also offers a number of other services.
The Oct. 9 announcement of an expanded digital currency partnership with Coinbase Inc. and the further expansion of Circle Internet’s offerings was the latest and most significant move made by the DGC in a bid to establish it as one of the leading players in the bitcoin marketplace.
Silbert’s firm has established ties to a number of startups, and this latest move is a big one.
“We see things maturing in the next couple of years, and it’s good to be a part of it,” Silbert told The Wall Street Journal of the Circle partnership.
Silbert is a veteran of the digital currency world. He co-founded bitcoin exchange Coinbase, where he is currently a board member.
He has also overseen the growth of Circle Internet, which he said now employs more than 60 people. The company has offices in New York and in the suburbs of San Francisco.
The Circle-Coinbase partnership is more than just a financial collaboration. As reported in The Wall Street Journal, it also includes an agreement to formally recognize the bitcoin terms of service set by Circle Internet as the official set of guidelines for the DGC.
As one of the first companies to have its own set of guidelines, Circle has attracted over 350,000 retailers as its customers.
Silbert, who says he’s more comfortable saying he’s a bitcoin developer than a financier, has also had a lot to do with the development of the technology underlying Circle.
In an interview with PCMag.com, Silbert said he has been a strong advocate for the digital currency, and the vision he’s shared with CoinDesk.
“I think bitcoin is here to stay,” he said. “It’s a great idea. It’s gotten a lot of people to start thinking about investing in bitcoin.”
The next step for the DGC is a conference in San Francisco in November.
