Sleigh into the holiday cheer this December! There is a frost in the air and holiday lights are hung bright which means Santa Claus is coming to town. From wassail to tree lighting festivals, it’s merry to #RideDCTA into the holiday season!
Santa at Lewisville Music City Mall (Dec. 3-24)
Who doesn’t love holiday music, balloon animals and visits with Santa? Get excited because Santa Claus is coming to Lewisville for pictures. Visit Saint Nick from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday on December 3 through 24. Taking pictures with Santa Claus starts at $32.99 until December 14, where packages then start at $29.99. VASTfest in Denton (Dec. 4)
Stop by VASTfest hosted by the Visual Arts Society of Texas at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 4 for family-friendly fun. There will be local art and handmade items that are perfect for holiday gift buying, as well as refreshments and holiday fun! This festival is free! To get to the festival ride our Denton Connect Route 2, Route 5, Route 6, Route 7 or Route 8 and take a short walk to the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. Denton Holiday Lighting Festival (Dec. 6)
Mark your calendar for Denton’s annual lighting festival for pictures with Santa, a toy drive and family-friendly holiday fun. Join the free celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on December 6 on the Downtown Denton Square. Denton Wassail Weekend (Dec. 6-7)
Celebrate homemade Wassail from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, December 6 and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 7. on the Downtown Denton Square. Lewisville Old Town Holiday Stroll (Dec. 7)
Stroll on down to Old Town Lewisville from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 7 for carnival attractions, storytime with Mrs. Claus, hayrides and more! This celebration is free and fun for the whole family. Santa Routes Highland Village (Dec. 15-20)
Track Santa Claus for free in a firetruck from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. December 15 through 20 as he comes to Highland Village neighborhoods to deliver holiday joy. To get to the fire station to track Santa Claus, ride our Highland Village Lyft program. PLEASE NOTE: this event is only available to the residents and neighborhoods of Highland Village and there is no Lyft service on Sunday.
