#AskDCTA: What’s the 411 on the Bonnie Brae Detour?
October 24, 2019
Need to know how to read a bus schedule? Wondering how to become a bus operator? Now you can #AskDCTA! In our monthly blog content series, our customer service team answers frequently-asked rider questions to better engage with our riders and improve their experience when riding DCTA.
For the month of October, Samantha Balderas – Quality Control Coordinator— gives us the 411 on the Bonnie Brae construction and route detours.
1. Why is the Denton Connect Route 7 and Discovery Park on a Detour?
On Monday, July 8, the city of Denton closed the intersection of Bonnie Brae and Scripture street for roundabout construction. Due to the construction and street closure, Denton Connect Route 7 and Discovery Park no longer runs along Bonne Brae St. We’ve modified the maps and schedules to reflect this temporary reroute online.
We are continuing to work with the city of Denton to receive updates about the construction completion. When we receive the approval to run on Bonnie Brae St., we will notify all passengers via Rider Alerts.
For recent construction project updates, visit the city of Denton website.
