Lewisville ColorPalooza Festival (April 9 – 10, 2016)
ColorPalooza: A Celebration of Spring is a new outdoor festival taking place Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Old Town Lewisville. The free festival will feature a number of cultural music and dance groups, food trucks and interactive children’s activities such as inflatable play structures and creative arts and crafts stations. Ride the A-train to the Old Town Station and transfer to Connect Route 23 to watch skilled artists create one-of-a kind sculptures and paintings and learn how to be more environmentally friendly! “Mary Poppins” the Musical (April 14 – 17, 2016)
“Mary Poppins” will be held at the Campus Theatre in Denton on April 14-17, starting at 7:30 p.m. This familiar tale will have audiences delighted as the musical introduces a very special nanny who is “practically perfect in every way”. Single ticket prices are $22 for adults, $18 for senior citizens, $15 for students and $10 for children under 12 and can be purchased at dentoncommunitytheatre.com. Ride the A-train to the Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) and take a quick walk to the historic Campus Theatre to witness this magical experience. “Junie B. Jones” the Musical (April 22 – 24, 2016)
The Actors Conservatory Theatre will host “Junie B. Jones” on April 22 – 24, 2016 at the MCL Grand Theatre in Lewisville at 7 p.m. with an additional 2 p.m. showing on the Saturday, April 23. This musical was adapted by the Junie. B. Jones series of books, taking you the on adventures of a sassy little diva. Ride the A-train to the Old Town Station and transfer to Connect Route 23 to watch this play that the whole family can enjoy. For more information, visit getintotheact.org. Denton Red Bud Festival (April 23, 2016)
The Denton Redbud Festival will take place Saturday, April 23 at the Denton Civic Center. Hosted by Keep Denton Beautiful, this award-winning community festival is Denton’s official Arbor Day celebration that seeks to provide a fun atmosphere while offering resources for individuals looking to improve their home and community. Ride the A-train to the Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center and transfer to Connect Routes 4 and 5 to get to all the free green festivities! For more information, visit www.kdb.org.
Denton Arts & Jazz Festival (April 29 – May 1, 2016)
DCTA is proud to be a returning sponsor of the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival. The free event is produced by the Denton Festival Foundation, Inc. and will take place Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1. Festival goers will experience seven stages of continuous music, fine art, crafts, food, games, and information booths at the beautiful Quakertown Park. Ride the A-train to the Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center and transfer to Connect Routes 4 and 5 to get to all the musical entertainment, food and fun!
