Happy National Transit Employee Appreciation Day!
March 18, 2024
Join Denton County Transportation Authority in celebrating National Transit Employee Appreciate Day, March 18, 2024!
Every year, DCTA celebrates bus and rail operators for their endless dedication and commitment to serving Denton County. This year, we are extending the celebration to all week to share our gratitude with our employees in Bus Operations, Rail Operations, Customer Service, and Administration.
Our Team
Whether they’re driving the bus, repairing engines, taking customer service calls, or engaging with the community, our team strives to move Denton County forward.
Our bus and train operators play a crucial role in our community. They work in the heat or rain, through construction or traffic, and early in the morning or late at night. They are the friendly faces that greet us on our daily commute, all while maneuvering through busy streets and navigating complex rail networks with precision and expertise.
By providing a safe, reliable service, our ridership continues to grow, welcoming more individuals like you to join as DCTA Riders. As a result, our streets become less congested, and as a community, we contribute to sustainability and environmental conservation. And let’s not forget, driving through Texas traffic is like no other, but our bus and rail operators are here to assist you every step of the way!
“We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated group of men and women leading the work of Denton County Transportation Authority, said DCTA CEO Paul Cristina. Everything that you do makes a difference in the lives of men and women who call Denton County and our member cities, home.”

We also want to thank our neighboring and partner agencies like Via, Trinity Metro, and DART for their hard work and providing amazing services to their communities. Don’t forget to say thank you to them as well!
This week is dedicated to our team but remember to always thank and share your gratitude as you hop off the Connect Bus, A-train, GoZone, and UNT Campus Shuttle.
