Rail Conference Comes to Dallas
May 30, 2012
Next week (June 3 – 6) North Texas will showcase its rail transit system to industry peers when the American Public Transportation Association Annual Rail Conference comes to town. Hosted in large part by Dallas Area Rapid Transit, this event will allow other transit agencies and contractors see the investments North Texans has made in rail transit over the last twenty years. Last year, DART completed the longest light rail construction project in the country. DCTA opened the A-train shortly after the Green Line in what is considered one of the quickest start-ups in recent commuter rail history. At the same time, the Fort Worth Transportation Authority reached significant progress milestones with Tex Rail. North Texas has a great story to tell and a bright future. We are excited to share it with the rest of the industry.
