Train Yourself. Avoid Traffic.
February 1, 2024
Living in southern Denton County, like Lewisville, Highland Village, and Flower Mound? If you do, you just know it’s almost impossible to avoid the hassle on Interstate 35E.
Or is it?
Whether you’re traveling to Dallas for work or pleasure, the ride on I-35E means you’re at stop-and-go speeds while hearing non-stop honks of other drivers.
And get this, the next three to four years will see additional construction projects popping up along Interstate-35E from the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area up through Lewisville, including the Main Street, Business Highway 121 and Corporate Drive interchanges. Even more construction is planned for the next decade-plus and will eventually reach the north side of Denton at U.S. Highway 380.
Dreading the drive already? With the thought of stressful driving with over 180,000* other motorists who pass through the I-35E corridor every day, why not “train yourself” and avoid all that traffic?
The A-train from Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is your solution. The A-train runs between downtown Denton and Carrollton with connections to Dallas using DART light rail service to downtown and beyond.
Commuting on the A-train can make traffic challenges vanish as you ride in style and comfort.
Let us do the driving, so you can set aside the stress of narrow construction lanes and NASCAR-wannabes in favor of a relaxing ride home. Maybe get a little work done on your way, get your music groove on, or catch up your latest book. We got you!
See what happens when you let us get you there? Life gets more chill.
Here’s another little treat… you save money too.
Commuters who take public transportation instead of driving can save more than $13,000 a year, or $1,100 a month over driving, according to the American Public Transportation Association.
We should also remind you that it’s way greener of you to ride our green train. And did we mention that a whopping 93% of A-train riders say they are satisfied with the customer experience, according to our latest satisfaction survey? It’s true.
So we invite you to train yourself, to save your health, bank account, and sanity.
See you on the A-train!
