FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the August Service Change?
We care about our community and passengers, so we took the opportunity to enhance and improve the existing Connect Bus Service and customer mobility through increased bus frequency and additional bus stops to bring you more consistency, convenience, and reliability.
Why is DCTA Implementing This Service Change?
Our goal is to move as many riders as possible in the most efficient and effective manner. By leveraging data analysis from the GoZone service in the area, we have identified the opportunity to use the Connect Bus network exclusively to serve all trip demand near routes 3, 6, and 7.
What does this look like for me?
Connect Bus service hours for routes 3, 6 and 7 will run from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m with bus service every 20 minutes, along with 18 new bus stop locations to improve access to the bus network.
I currently utilize GoZone to travel in this area. What is changing?
If you are beginning and ending your trip near Routes 3, 6, or 7, the GoZone app will now direct you to ride the Connect Bus routes. If any part of your trip extends beyond the vicinity of the Connect routes, you will not experience any changes to your GoZone experience.
How will my GoZone app experience change?
If you are beginning and ending your trip near Routes 3, 6, or 7, the GoZone app will direct you to the nearest Connect Bus stop to complete your trip between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
When will this happen?
This service change will go into effect on August 19th, 2024. Stay tuned for more information from DCTA Rider Alerts Sign up today to receive important updates via email or text!
