June is here which means summer has officially arrived! There’s a variety of events filled with fun – from concert series, cultural celebrations and festivals and events to support local businesses. We can help you attend the best-of-summer in North Texas when you #RideDCTA!
First Friday’s in Old Town Lewisville
Join the Main and Mill Association on Friday, June 7 for the official launch of First Friday’s in Old Town Lewisville! From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Main Street and in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, you’ll find live music, art, food and drink specials, retail discounts, photo boots, yard games and more! Admission and parking are FREE. To celebrate and mingle with local vendors every first Friday of the month until December 6, ride our A-train to the Old Town station or our Lewisville Connect Routes 21 and 22 to get there. Denton Juneteenth Celebration
This summer, the city of Denton will celebrate its annual Juneteenth Celebration for the 48th year! From Friday, June 14 to Saturday, June 15, this FREE event will honor African American heritage with an exciting parade to music, games, food and more! Denton Twilight Tunes
Have you ever been to an award-winning concert series? Grab a blanket and your favorite snacks and head over to the Denton County Courthouse lawn for Twilight Tunes, a FREE concert series hosted every Thursday until June 27. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can jam out alongside a variety of artists who perform rock, country, Motown and more! Ride our Denton Connects Routes 7 and 8 to get to the Denton Square. Every Tuesday in June and July from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., you can listen to a wide variety of music genres for FREE at Wayne Ferguson Plaza. From tributes to Madonna, the Eagles, Michael Jackson and more, there’s music for everyone to enjoy! To get there, make sure to ride our A-train to the Old Town station. Sounds of Summer in Highland Village
Need some musical motivation while shopping for your summer wardrobe? Each Thursday in June, the Shops at Highland Village will host a FREE summer concert series taking shoppers on a tour through the decades! From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can enjoy the music from different bands as you travel from store to store or in The Patio Courtyard.
