First Friday’s in Old Town Lewisville
Enjoy the first Friday of the month in the beautiful historic district of Old Town Lewisville! Join the Main and Mill Association from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, August 2, for good food, shopping deals and live entertainment and art for all ages. Admission and parking are FREE! First Friday Denton
First Friday Denton is the perfect place to experience Denton’s unique and beautiful art scene. On Friday, August 2, businesses on the Downtown Denton Square will have a variety of events and activities such as crafts, live music, shopping deals, fun games and more. There will also be a petting zoo! To get there, ride our Denton Connect Routes 7 and 8. Please note there is a major detour for Denton Connect Route 7 due to construction. Nature Walk with LLELA
Nature doesn’t stop blooming and chirping just because the summer is coming to an end! Grab a sun hat and your best hiking shoes and join the Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) for its monthly Nature Walk! Join LLELA, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, for a chance to see animal tracks, singing birds and plants with personality. All ages are welcome to attend this FREE event. 91st North Texas Fair and Rodeo
Grab your cowboy boots and hat and head over to the 91st North Texas Fair and Rodeo! From Friday, August 16, to Saturday, August 24, you can catch North Texas’ best of livestock, ride fair rides, attend country concerts, watch contests and more! Ticket prices vary from FREE (for children age six and under) to $120 (season pass). To get to the North Texas Fairgrounds, ride our A-train to the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) and transfer to Denton Connect Route 4. For more information, visit ntfair.com/.
Highland Village Lions Club Balloon Festival
What’s big, colorful and filled with air? A hot air balloon! Head over to the annual Highland Village Balloon Festival from Friday, August 16, to Sunday, August 18, for an experience like no other! From tethered hot air balloon rides, a hot air balloon show, a car show, and arts and crafts, you’re bound to have a blast! Ride to the festival grounds for FREE with our shuttle service and skip the $5 parking fee. Stay tuned for more shuttle info. Please note shuttle service will note operate on Sunday, August 18. Yoga in the Plaza in Old Town Lewisville
Attention all yogis! Unwind and relax every Wednesday in August at Yoga in the Plaza with Blue Anjou Studio.
