Why I Ride DCTA – Yashwant Mahendran
April 28, 2015
Yashwant of Denton is a wildlife photographer and enjoys chatting with the UNT Shuttle drivers after a long day. Here’s what else he had to say about DCTA:
Q: What do you enjoy most about riding DCTA?
A: After a long day of study at the college, I get my bus at 9:30 p.m., tired and exhausted. The minute I enter the DCTA bus, I feel like home. The drivers greet me with a happy evening, comfort me with words just like my friends back in my country. They talk with me like they’ve known me for a decade and at the end of the trip, they wish me a lovely good night. I mean, I couldn’t ask anything better than traveling on a DCTA after a long exhausting day. A special thanks to all the drivers.
Q: Do you have any thoughts about riding DCTA to passengers and non-passengers?
A: More people should use DCTA services and save fuel for the future.
Q: What are some of your favorite things about riding DCTA?
A: I like a long chat with the driver. I have music in my ears and National Geographic Travel guide in my hands, planning for my next expedition.
